Accessibility Commitment
Citadel 12 is committed to ensuring that our digital content, tools, and services are accessible to all users. We believe that accessibility is fundamental to innovation, usability, and equitable digital experience.
Our goal is to provide a website that is clear, navigable, and inclusive, allowing every visitor to interact with our information and services without barriers. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we are dedicated to continuous improvement.
Standards and Compliance
This website has been developed in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These standards define how online content should be made perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users.
We also align our efforts with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508, supporting compatibility with assistive technologies across a range of operating systems and devices.
Measures to Support Accessibility
Citadel 12 employs multiple strategies to promote and maintain digital accessibility:
- Accessibility Enhancement Tools: We have integrated the UserWay accessibility widget, enabling users to adjust contrast, font size, text spacing, and other settings for improved readability and comfort.
- Readable and Adjustable Text: All text content is presented in a legible, scalable format that can be resized through browser controls or assistive software.
- Keyboard Navigation: The site’s navigation, menus, and interactive elements are designed to be fully operable via keyboard input.
- Screen Reader Compatibility: The website undergoes regular testing to ensure compatibility with screen reader software, supporting accurate interpretation of structure, headings, and visual elements.
- Regular Testing and Audits: Accessibility audits are performed periodically, using both automated and manual testing methods.
- Continuous Improvement: We monitor updates to WCAG guidelines and apply changes proactively to maintain compliance.
Known Limitations
While we work to achieve full accessibility, some PDF files and downloadable materials may not yet meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards. These files are currently being redesigned for screen reader compatibility.
Additionally, some third-party integrations (such as embedded maps, forms, or analytics tools) may have inherent accessibility limitations. We engage with vendors and partners to promote accessibility improvements whenever possible.
